This made standing in line at 6 AM totally worth it. Sound is right on point and is a tribute to the true lovers of the film.
Āłł_Ÿøūrš
My copy sounds immaculate. Haters are gonna complain and make up stories of having a "bad pressing" because they were too slow to get to the store early enough to grab a copy. snooze you loose
Usanner
wow 80 euros for this poor release? I didnt even bought it when i found it during the rsd because i thought 28 euros was too expensive for such a cheap release. Stop buying overpriced releases. If you continue, the price of the rsd releases will continue to increase year after year. It is because of that that the rsd is becoming less and less interesting.
Rose Of Winds
Please keep whinging with terrible English. Makes Discogs much more entertaining!
Unnis
Perfect record, The color is really nice. The sound is awesome, nice cover .. Happy for my 23€ ????

The State We're In by The Chemical Brothers really should have been included... I never understood why it was not included, when it's one of the most memorable sounds from the film. Great soundtrack nonetheless, and very lucky my dad picked this up for me on RSD, thanks dad!
Water
totally agree about the Chemical Brothers! Wish they also kept the Bill Murray 'More Than This' secret track like they did for the CD version.
Forey
My copy sounds great, there’s a minimal level of surface noise but nothing worth too much noting. One of the better soundtracks of the past 20 years, this works as an accompaniment to the film or as a rewarding listen on its own. Highly recommended.
Mot
fortunately, my copy sounds great. very clean background, in fact, it is quieter than at least 80% of my records.
Rigiot
my copy (purchased on RSD in US) sounds awful. the right channel has period super loud scratchy noise on the right channel over 90% of the tracks. - really bummed. was so excited to finally get this.
Perongafa
i have had the cd since day dot however the build up is over rated and the record itself ? yes ... over rated ! no dynamics or stereo field ... sold here for 120 in 2 min ...... oh well
Bukus
" sold here for 120 in 2 min " No it didn't...
Zan
I walked into my local shop in a major city today and they still had a copy displayed on the wall. I was pleasantly surprised to find it 2 weeks after RSD. Not sure how that happened. (It was the last one they had by the way.)
saafari
Melbourne, Australia mate. Heartland Records had a stack of these. Maybe certain territories lucked out with this release? Who knows..
Shakar
Oakland . . . . . . . . .
Zahisan
Happy for you. I assume this is a little miracle. What is the name of that major city ?

The sound on this record is at best mediocre, and at worst abysmal. Tracks 6 and 8 on side a are probably the worst in terms of pressing quality-there is SO much noise. Even despite the sound issues, I'm happy with this acquisition. I love this soundtrack enough to bear through the crappy quality on a few of the tracks.
Arador
i am sorry to hear how your record sounds. my copy sounds very quiet and clean in the background. at first i suspected your antiskate or azimuth was off but after listening to your recording, it should not sound that bad no matter what.
Endieyab
is your's as bad as mine? mine is garbage :( right channel is super scratchy https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zvtcjdoh34dfb1t/AACuO-ac0Wy8WYHvuUJ1I25pa?dl=0
Eayaroler
Does anyone else have issues with track A7? Mine is really noisy and has a small mark that causes a rotating click/pop for most of the song. I’m just curious if this is an isolated or widespread problem with the pressing. Thanks!!
Loni
My copy sounds fantastic very pleased, a friend of mine picked it up for me from Rough Trade in Bristol for which I am most grateful.

As of now, 1832 people have claimed to own this on Discogs, and for newer releases in the past couple years, I've noticed that if you multiply that number by 4 or 5, it tends to be near the pressing size. So I think all 8000 are out in the wild, and most of them were probably distributed in Europe. With the resurgence of vinyl, I think people underestimate the demand for 10,000 copies of a very sought after title. 5-10 years ago, 8,000 was a huge number for a repress, but nowadays, more and more 5,000-10,000 repress runs are being bought up immediately.
Buzalas
What is this based on? All I have heard from record stores I have been to is that some shops' orders had to be cancelled and redistributed by shops that couldn't afford to pay for them. I don't know if there was more of that this year than any other year, though.
Kagda
maybe, i also notice lines seem to be getting longer for RSDs (albeit this is only my third or fourth RSD). was able to pick this up in the line but almost didn't because I thought 8000 is a lot so i could have gotten it online the next day. glad that i did.

I don't believe it... I think there was a distribution problem...
Tiainar
It's hard for me to believe 8000 was the real number distributed to stores. Just compare to Lou Reed's Ecstasy, limited to 7500. Another sought after vinyl reissue which has been out of print and yet that one has well over 100 for sale at retail price. I've read rumors something got messed up in the production or distribution, I would be curious if anything definitive comes out about that and if a repress really will happen
great ant
It irks me as much as anyone else. I’ve just come to terms with it. I can’t own everything, and it’s nice that some of the records I do own become treasured enough to accrue some value. It sucks that this can happen overnight, as in this case. In the end the market will set the price, the record will get another release and we will all move on to bitch about the high prices of next years records!
Qiahmagha
Delighted you managed to easily pick up a copy, but that clearly wasn't the case in every region and store. No-one here is arguing capitalism should be "stopped', despite the fact that any passing communists looking to critique the market economy could certainly do worse than look here for a compelling case study. You clearly see no ethical problem in purchasing on day one, and selling on day two at an inflated price, so cool, but greed is good and lunch is for wimps, right?
Twentyfirstfinger
That’s my point, some stores got a lot of copies and yet no store in my area even got one. And no store had leftover stock for sale online which is at least suspicious. Good for you that you got a copy but there’s no reason for something this essential to be so hard to get
Lanin
I got my copy easily on RSD. My local record store had at least 5 copies left and I was above 50th in the queue. Easy to believe there were a mass of copies made. It’s a record that every collection needs, that’s why there’s huge demand. People can sell there own records for whatever prices they want. You can decide to buy them, or not. You can’t stop capitalism! Too late.
